About Silhouette InstaLift
As we age, the skin on our face begins to wrinkle and sag, causing us to look older than we feel. Silhouette InstaLift is a minimally invasive, FDA-approved procedure done as an alternative to a full facelift. This procedure works to recontour the face by lifting the deeper layers of skin. Individuals between the ages of 40 and 70 can often benefit from this procedure to treat mid and lower facial drooping.
How Silhouette InstaLift works
During the procedure, local anesthesia will be administered, and absorbable sutures with bidirectional cones will be used to elevate and reposition the skin on the face. Made out of polylactic acid, these sutures will gradually dissolve, stimulating the production of collagen. Collagen is a protein in the skin that works to support the skin’s structure. This procedure commonly takes 45 minutes to complete, and results are immediate. Over time, effects will improve as collagen is produced.
Results
Because it is minimally invasive, there is very little downtime associated with this procedure. Patients are free to return home after their procedure. Following a Silhouette InstaLift procedure, patients may experience some swelling and bruising, though this should subside within a week. Over time, patients can expect to see a younger-looking, rejuvenated facial appearance. For more information, visit our blog page or contact us today!
