It’s an ideal option for chronic weight management and can also be used as a way to lower your risk of high blood sugar, high blood pressure, heart disease, and blood vessel disease. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are two of the most effective weight loss medications to date versus other weight loss medications.
What to Expect

GLP 1’s are administered at home through a self-injection. Each GLP 1 injection will be given weekly, and our team will show you how to perform it. It’s best to perform each scheduled dose on the same day each week, avoiding the same body area each time. If you forget, take it as soon as possible after the missed dose. If you’re not comfortable giving a self-injection, you can schedule a weekly appointment with our team. It’s normal to experience side effects like nausea, abdominal pain, constipation, and more – these side effects subside as your dosage increases. Within a few weeks, you’ll begin to see initial weight loss results, but it may take several more weeks to see noticeable improvement.
Serious side effects of GLP 1’s are rare, and our team will review your detailed medical history to ensure it will be safe and effective. Certain medical conditions are not recommended to pair with semaglutide, including a personal or family history of thyroid cancer, diabetic ketoacidosis, and more. Serious side effects and symptoms of an unusual or allergic reaction to watch for include severe stomach pain, trouble breathing, severe nausea, and trouble swallowing. These are signs you should contact our team or see a doctor immediately.
